Poster produced for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to Llandudno, North Wales. The poster shows a panoramic view of the coast, with a large stretch of the sea and a pleasure boat approaching the pier. Artwork by Charles Pears, a marine painter in oil who was an Official Naval Artist during the World Wars. He worked as a poster artist for rail companies and other clients and was also a book illustrator

Rhuddlan Castle, LMS poster, 1929
Poster produced for London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to Rhuddlan Castle, Denbighshirre, Wales. The castle was built in the 11th century and changed hands between Wales and England several times, but with the establishment of English rule in Wales it finally passed into the keeping of the Crown. It was ravaged by Parliamentarians in 1643. Artwork by Norman Wilkinson, who studied art at Portsmouth and Southsea Schools of Art. A famous marine painter, he designed posters for the London & North Western Railway (LNWR), the London & Midlands Railway (LMR) and Southern Railway (SR) and organised the Royal Academy series of posters for the LMR in 1924. Find Radiant Health at Llandrindod-Wells'; poster produced for the London Midland & Scottish and the Great Western Railway, promoting fast train services to the spa town of Llandrindod-Wells in Powys, Wales. The town was famed for its Victorian architecture and the health-giving properties of its waters and mountain air, offering spa treatments and sporting activities such as golf, boating and tennis. Artwork by Ralph & Brown, who were probably two of the artists from the Ralph & Mott team of artists
