This Sea Eagle locomotive, number 4487, was built for the London and North Eastern Railway, and was used on the Flying Scotsman service - a non-stop journey of 392.7 miles, from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh. It is shown passing along the cliff tops north of Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland. The train included a three coach restaurant car, also known as a triplet
